We’re back to talk about the other types of leather you can find to upholster your new furniture. Our hope is that you’ll be able to determine which type of leather is going to be the best option for your home. With that in mind, you can visit Peerless Furniture and check out a few pieces of the Town & Country, MO, leather Flexsteel furniture that they have available.
The third type of leather that we are going to learn about is Split Leather. Split leather will be made from the lower layers of the hide, which makes it much less expensive. It’s also going to be extremely versatile. This leather can be suede or coated to give you different textures or feel. It’s a really good option for rugs, as well. The major drawback of this leather is that it is going to be far more susceptible to wear and tear compared to the first two types of leather we discussed. You will also have far more upkeep to keep it looking nice.
Bonded leather is the fourth type of leather we will be discussing. This leather will consist of pieces of leather that are bonded together using polyurethane. This is the most affordable option, but it will still give you an appealing leather-like style without the price tag. Of course, the drawback is that it is going to be the least durable and will begin to peel and flake over time. This type of leather is not recommended for homes with heavy use, pets, or children.
You could also choose to go with vegan leather, which is made entirely of synthetics but will give you a leather-like look. This will be easy to clean but won’t be as durable or breathable as real leather.
